Bharatanatyam Classes

We focus on building strength, flexibility, and proper body alignment to lay a solid foundation for learning. Step by step, you will explore the fundamental techniques of Bharatanatyam, including basic steps (adavus), hand gestures (mudras), complex rhythm, and heartfelt expression. Throughout the classes, you’ll also gain insight into the cultural and spiritual roots of this ancient art form.
The classes are suitable for beginners as well as open-level dancers, and are open to adults and children. While the group begins together in January, it is also possible to join later if you miss the start, and integrate gradually into the ongoing practice.
